Ethics for Life and Health Insurance Agents presented by Department of Financial Regulation

Class counts for Ethics credits for all producer licensees

The purpose of this class is to assist agents in learning the Ethical duties of selling life and health insurance policies.  In addition, the class will include a description of the types of licenses required for certain life products that include an investment component.  This class will be valuable to all licensed producers as it has become important for all agents to understand life and health products and to be able to recognize when their clients have been victims of fraud or sold unsuitable products.

Objectives of the class:

Review of Statutes, Bulletins and Regulations

When a Securities license is required versus a life producer license

Suitability and replacing of life insurance policies

Top 5 Consumer complaint case studies
